About Me

Sarah Young is a nationally board certified science educator from the state of Utah, working with adolescents at Rowland Hall Middle School. She designed and administered the Teacher Training Program with Westminster College, a yearlong immersion program for education graduate students. Sarah is a former ACTS fellow with the Department of Energys Jefferson National Laboratory from 2009-2011, and has published articles and a recent book titled Gourmet Lab based on her experiences in the fellowship. Sarah has a BA in Environmental, Population, Organism Biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a Masters in Education with an emphasis in Secondary Science from Lesley University. Sarah currently serves as an Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellow with the National Science Foundation in the Office of International Science and Engineering.
